Our Latest Trip to Tucson To Find A Beautiful Mustang! We thought we’d show you the lengths we go to in order to find quality Mustangs. Adrian our Director is based in Arizona, he gives us regular updates on how the weather is over there and occasionally the Mustangs he finds!!! This year Adrian has clocked up over 76,000 miles finding our stock and the year is not finished yet. Here is what he reported back from one of his latest trips to Tucson… We found this ‘66 Resto-mod for sale in Eastern Tucson. Highly modified 351, Fuel injected with Shock Tower Delete incorporating a radical new Fully Independent Front Suspension with Rack & Pinion Steering, Willwood Disc Brakes sounded just what we look for. So, having contacted the seller Kris we headed out on the I-10 battling the usual crazy traffic through Phoenix for Tucson and once clear of the massive metropolis the 150 mile drive through the Sonoran Desert is always a spectacle! Past the famous Pinal Air Park which is home of the military and commercial aircraft graveyards in the desert amazing to see the planes all rowed up in a line. Turned out the car had been built from a true AZ totally rust free ‘C’ Code Coupe, just what we love. Kris’s father in Law, Kevin was a Pro car builder and had built this ‘66 at the workshop that is adjoining to his home. We put the Muscle Car up on his ramp and found a perfect original body shell with lots of high grade mechanical work finished to the highest standards. All the work made this car pull 105mph in 2nd gear over a standing 1/4! That’s fast without a Posi rear end. Shame was the interior, paint and overall finish just didn’t quite make it for us, it was a close call as our shop in the U.K. can deal with all and any issues but all the same, we decided to leave it behind. Always disappointing but we only buy the best!
