We were delighted to locate this low mileage one family owned Mustang. After we were offered this car, we knew the chase was on to get to Jon and Angie Cronin’s house in Sacramento California before they were due to advertise it the following day. On arrival, it was as good as we had hoped. Absolutely rock solid like the day it had rolled of the production line.

Jon explained that his Grandmother had purchased the car new from her local dealer “Bob Keefer Ford”10900 Long Beach Boulevard, Lynwood, California. He showed us the original purchase order his Grandmother had signed on the 3rd of June 1967. (which we have in its history file). The purchase price was $2995, which she paid for, outright.

Nora Wayt was Jon’s Grandmother and she owned it for many years but did very little mileage in it. Jon was more than happy to sign for the mileage at 49K on the title as he had known the car from new and it had passed from his Grandmother to his Mother, then to him. After Nora’s passing Jon’s mother put the Mustang away until it was given to Jon in 2010. The only reason that the Mustang was put up for sale, was that it was agreed within the family that it would be used for a deposit for Jon and Cindy’s new home. They were delighted that the car was coming to the U.K.

As we have already stated the body and chassis is in superb condition, this is born out by the fact that this is a “black Plate” Californian car. Which means that it has remained in California all of its 52 years and has never lived anywhere else, it’s just used to the sunny southern Californian climate.

When Nora purchased the car new, she wanted it in Wimbledon white with the Red Bucket seats. As you can see it has retained that colour scheme from new. She also had Power steering fitted along with the Automatic Transmission. Other equipment from new was an AM Radio, Deluxe seat belts, Tinted Glass, Wheel covers (hubcaps) and rocker cover mouldings. This can be confirmed by the Marti report we have on the car as seen in the photographs.

We have upgraded the brakes from front hub brakes to servo-assisted disc brakes which as you can imagine makes the car more confident under braking and adds to the overall drive.

We took the engine out when we put new power brakes in and whilst it was out the engine compartment has been re-finished in factory black and the engine detailed in Ford Blue. We also upgraded the wheels and tyres, removing the old wheels and hubcaps for a new set of American Racing torque thrust wheels with new B.F. Goodrich tyres.

We also hand painted the whole underside with under-seal, to keep the Mustang in top condition underneath. A recent edition is new carpets and original seat covers, the complete interior including headlining has been renewed by the last owners. Overall this is a superb example of an original specification, low mileage, low ownership Mustang. This car is for the client who wants a quality Mustang that has all the extras and has been completely sorted throughout.

The car is U.K. registered all taxes paid. New MOT has been issued and a History folder with many bills and receipts including original bill of sale comes with the car.
