This Mustang has only had two owners from new, not bad for a 51-year-old classic. We purchased directly of the second owner Joe Abeyta who lived in Norco California. He by his own admission was a car fanatic and restorer. Before he retired he was a Boeing aircraft engineer and this can be seen by the quality of his work. Joe had bought the car as an entirely corrosion free example in the high-country Mojave Desert region of California renowned for its dryness. Hence the incredible condition of the body.

Every component of the car has been rebuilt or replaced, the engine has been completely overhauled by Joe himself and the C4 auto box by a Californian Transmission specialist. Front brakes have been upgraded to power-operated front discs. Power steering again entirely restored with new pump, control valve, ram and all hoses. The original Air Conditioning system has also been upgraded with a high-quality modern compressor, dryer and condenser fitted to the highest standards imaginable.

Complete new interior trim has been installed and both overhead and full centre consoles set off the deluxe internal dash door cards and seats perfectly. Joe added some other great upgrades including central locking, alarm system, electric windows and electric boot release. Digital instrumentation plus high-quality stereo and speakers are also present. Twin big bore exhaust system which includes hooker headers has been fitted along with new Mustang alloys with three eared spinners finish the car of beautifully.

The body was stripped to bare metal before being refinished in Metallic Candy Apple Red and a new vinyl top was installed along with all new chrome, bumpers, trim and badges.

This is truly a magnificent example of this 60”s classic and the next owner will have a prize-winning car to be very proud of.
