This magnificent Mustang was built at the Meutuchen Ford plant in New Jersey in 1967.

It left the factory in Lime gold Metallic which at the time would have been quite some colour! The interior was black throughout which is a bit more in keeping with today’s tastes. It was sent to Los Angeles district where it was sold.

It spent most of its life driving around southern California hence the body is still in a superb solid condition. Some nine years ago a gentleman Mr Vartanian (who we purchased the car from) decided he wanted to buy the most solid car he could find, in order to make it into a “show” car. This was the one!

He decided to change the colour to its now outstanding metallic blue, he had the stripes painted on. These are not transfers. He had the engine taken out and a very expensive re-paint was undertaken. As you can see from the video and pictures the engine bay was painted to the same standard as the body.

Most Mustangs left the factory with black paint in the engine bay. Whilst he had taken the engine out he had decided to upgrade that as well. He installed a Ford 302 engine five litres! What an addition as you can hear! He also had the C4 automatic transmission rebuilt with a new torque converter etc.

Unfortunately, the last owner did not quite finish his dream show car, so after we had purchased it and shipped it back to the UK, we restored the interior and did a few more little jobs in order to finish the project.

The car also has Power steering and power disc brakes. This car is as good as it looks and will give the next owner a car that he can win shows with and hopefully be very proud of.
