This Muscle Car is about as far removed from its original specification as it is possible to imagine and the T in its Chassis number must now surely mean Transformed!

It was built in San Jose California and originally delivered and sold to the incredibly expensive and charmingly quaint area known as Los Gatos just south of San Francisco.

From there the little Pony Muscle Car in its original specification moved to Tucson AZ where two neighbouring “Car Nuts” starting with a wonderfully solid body shell, Transformed the Classic Mustang into the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing that we see today. Bill Bowers and his neighbour Jim had a workshop to die for built along and around Bills detached property in NW Tucson where alongside the Mustang were 40’s & 50’s Fords all being given similar treatment.

We had the joy of driving this incredibly tractable Restomod back to our office in Phoenix from Tucson (well over 130 miles) in the usual brilliant sunshine and desert heat without any issues and the more we drove it the more we loved it.

The throttle response and power delivery are instant and the rear suspension modifications put those BHPonies down so well it is hard to believe the car is approaching its 52 anniversary. Bill Bowers and his buddy Jim certainly knew how to build a car that will really perform. Having said that, this gorgeous Muscle Car will remain quite docile and is very happy in everyday normal traffic and that is the beauty of it.

Whilst the upgrades are extensive and cover virtually every element of the car all the parts are inexpensive and simple to service and maintain, so nothing like a temperamental complex modern high-performance vehicle with a host of electronics just waiting to give trouble.

The paint finish is very very nice and the view over the Cowl Induction Hood from the driver’s seat just makes you want to explore roads in this fantastic Classic Mustang Restomod. The engine bay is prepared to show quality so whilst this Muscle Car won’t win any prizes for originality it has the potential to blow the opposition not only off the road but the show grounds too!
