Here we have this stunning Diamond blue 1967 Ford Mustang V8 Hardtop Coupe. What a great choice Earl and Jean Grow made in early 67. This Mustang rolled off the production line at Ford’s San Jose plant in California on the 6^th of July one day ahead of schedule! Earl and Jean collected their new Ford Mustang “Sports Sprint” a Limited-Edition model on the 25^th of July, from their local Ford dealership “Central Ford” of Los Angeles street, California. Little did they know that this Mustang would stay with their family for nearly 40 years. In its history file we have the original service book and owner card which are very rare to find still with the original car. Also, with the car comes a “ward’s “Motor record book which shows a record of servicing and mileage to 1985. This car had been used for the family car and many stories of holidays spent travelling through California and the Grand Canyon in Arizona etc were retold. After Earl passed the car was left in their garage and a small modern car was purchased for Jean. The car spent many years in hibernation until Jean also passed , her daughter after some time decided to ask a friend of the family Joseph Geever who was a classic car restorer in Playa Del Ray to help get the car back to its former glory. He restoration was made easier as the car was rock solid throughout as it had remained in southern California all its life and wore a black number plate to prove it. After the restoration the daughter kept it for a several months but then decided that she wasn’t using it as much as she thought she was going to , so it was offered to Joseph as he had known the car all his life and had subsequently restored it. After 12 years Joseph decided to let the Mustang go and we were lucky enough to be offered this fabulous Mustang. Joseph told us that he had upgraded the engine to a new V8 302 recently and the slightly larger engine gives a very smooth performance throughout the range. The power steering, centre console, AM radio, tinted windows, deluxe seat belts and wheel covers were all part of the Sports Sprint package. The upgrades we have added here are a power disc front brake system and American torque thrust alloys with BF Goodrich tyres. A stunning example throughout and ready to enjoy .
