Unusually this rather nice Classic 68 Mustang Muscle Car had been in the last owners hands for over 10 years and during this time Kyle and his father had invested in a host of upgrades to take this San Jose built Californian and Arizonan resident C Code V8 to the high performance Restomod you see in the images.
But here is the key to this powerful, agile and fast Muscle Car, all the work has been carried out by top professional speed shops right here in Arizona.
Originally an automatic 289 V8 car initially uprated with a 351 Windsor motor which was coupled at first to the automatic transmission. However when Kyle’s Dad rather foolishly ran the motor low on oil the pair decided to buy a new crate 351 W motor and add to it a Tremec T5 5 Speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch. This new engine has covered a little over 3,500 miles, provides really strong performance and with the overdrive 5th speed gearing, is really just idling at 70mph.
This Muscle Car is fast and capable with excellent brakes from the Wilwood company, and puts its power down via a new 3:55 Posi Rear End. With new Springs and Shock Absorbers at each corner the handling is sure footed and smooth.
Another great upgrade is the Borgeson Power Steering which is so much more direct than the original “floating” control valve and ram system from back in the day.
The fuel and air mixture on this beauty are ignited by an MSD Electronic control system for exceptional reliability and cooling is controlled perfectly by a multi core Aluminium Radiator.
With professional installation and proper setting up to its upgrades this impressive Muscle Car is a blast to drive and gives not only its driver but all who hear it coming a real thrill.

Having been in the warm and sunny climates of California and Arizona it’s entire life the body shell is “Bone Dry” and absolutely as good as the day it left the factory in San Jose, the paint finish in a sweet high gloss Custom Bronze is outstanding and is given an aggressive slant with the semi Matt Black Bonnet featuring special Louvered Air Vents.
