Here we have one of the rare 1969 GT350 Shelby Convertibles.

This matching numbers Shelby GT350 convertible is presented in Acapulco Blue with contrasting black trim and knit vinyl Hi-Back bucket seats with a white power-hood to match the famous Shelby racing stripes.

The car boasts both power steering and air conditioning and the 351-4V V8 engine is mated to the matching GT350 select shift automatic transmission. GT equipment included, power front disc brakes, deluxe interior, a Select Aire AM/8 track stereo radio, tinted glass, deluxe belts, and colour keyed racing mirrors. This car was owned by a Californian collector for some 30 years and six years ago he decided to embark on a full $200,000 restoration, sadly upon nearing the completion he passed away. The engine and gearbox had been rebuilt during its restoration process in the states by Dave’s Performance Motors.

Since arriving in the U.K. in 2020 the car has had over £7,000 finishing some of the jobs.

A De- lux Marti report comes with the Shelby, showing that it was built at Fords Dearborn plant and then sold by “Theodore Robins Incorporated” based in Costa Mesa California on the 02/04 1969. A copy of the original sales invoice showing a $5554.69 cost price. A copy of the original build sheet is also in the paperwork folder. The Marti report also has the full specification when the Mustang was built which corresponds exactly to what we have here, a matching numbers example.

A fabulous Mustang to own and drive with on eye on the investment market.
