Vehicle Paint Technician (Experienced & Skilled)

Pilgrim Motorsports are currently looking for a skilled Vehicle Paint Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in the field of Classic and Modern car preparation and painting. Our ideal candidate will be conversant with modern and classic paint techniques and be able to ‘colour match’ to a high standard. Panel beating and welding skills would be an advantage.

Work is varied and interesting, ranging from minor blemish repairs to full re-paints. One of our main focuses is on the Classic Ford Mustang market and the successful candidate will be encouraged to assist in the planning and design of specialist builds, such as ‘Eleanor’ recreations, to customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for ‘Old school’ engineering with a modern twist, be self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a friendly team.

Classic Car Mechanic/Technician (Experienced & Skilled) – Two Positions

Pilgrim Motorsports/Muscle Car UK are currently looking for a skilled Classic Car Mechanic/Technician to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in the field of Classic Car Service, Maintenance and Restoration, who is ideally conversant with the engineering requirements of iconic classic American cars such as the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette.

Work is varied and interesting, ranging from routine servicing to chassis upgrades and full vehicle restoration. A full understanding of the ‘set up’ and tuning process of Carburettor-fed engines is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for ‘Old School’ engineering with a modern twist to be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a friendly team.

We are not worried about age as some of our team have been here nearly 30 years! And their experience is golden. We are looking for one or two mechanics who have the passion! Maybe you have restored classics in the past, owned a couple of V8s in your time, built a Hot Rod or enjoyed being part of the American car scene. The team here are all petrol heads of some shape or other. This is a lifestyle type of job; you need to live and breathe big engines and lots of chrome! Coach Building/Body shop Apprentice

Pilgrim Motorsports are currently looking for a keen, enthusiastic and, reliable Apprentice to join our Bodyshop team.

The successful candidate will share a passion for ‘Old school’ engineering with a modern twist, be self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative as part of a friendly team.

Work is varied and interesting ranging from minor dent repairs to full restorations. One of our main focuses is the Classic Ford Mustang market, and our apprentice will learn how to plan, and complete specialist builds such as ‘Eleanor’ recreations to a high finish standard.

Our Apprentice will attend Heritage Skills Academy and complete a 42-month Coachbuilding Apprenticeship Programme (block release) and will learn all aspects, from welding to panel replacement.

We offer excellent working conditions in our spacious Classic Car-themed Workshops and excellent in-house training.

Apprentice Business Administrator

Pilgrim Motorsports are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Apprentice (Business Administrator) to work as part of a small, busy team. This is a varied role that entails working in both our Service Centre and Main Office. Duties will include answering emails assisting in the main office helping with various aspects of administration including, stock control, Purchasing, updating Sage and Auto Works CRM car registration process, filing, answering the phone, preparing paperwork for outbound parcel despatch, passing on messages/queries to colleagues, support open days and meet and greet customers.

Logistics Assistant/Driver

We are expanding our team, and looking for a Vehicle Logistics Assistant. The role would ideally be suited to an active semi-retired ex-motor trade Engineer, or somebody looking for a part-time role.

Duties will include the transportation of Classic and Specialist Cars on covered trailers and transporters, and the driving of Classic and Specialist Cars for various purposes. The successful candidate will hold the required trailer license or be of the age where this license is not required. If you are a “ petrol head” with a passion for Muscle Cars, this is the job for you!

1966 Ford Mustang2 Door Coupe4.7L V8

Here, we have one of the rarer Mustangs, built-in 1966. One might suggest that the name survivor could describe this time-warp vehicle.

This Mustang was built at the San Jose Ford Factory in California on the 16th of December and then delivered to “Ralph Williams Ford”, located at Ventura Boulevard Encino, California.

We are delighted to have back after filming this stunning Mustang in Guy Ritchies’ Operation Fortune.  We sold two 1966 Mustangs for the film, one a stunt car and this one, which in Film terminology is the Hero Car. Josh Hartnett drove it in an extended chase scene with Aubrey Plaza as the passenger. The Mustang was featured in many other shots within the film.

The magnificent Seven! Or the 1967!

This stunning example was built in Ford’s San Jose factory in California on the 27th of February. Marina Ford in Venice, California, then retailed to Rose Siegel, who lived just off Santa Monica Boulevard, just a stone’s throw from the famous Santa Monica Pier. She must have looked great driving down Highway 1 in early 1967.
