Vintage Burgundy Metallic with Black Pony Interior. 351 Windsor V8 Stroked to 392 Cu in, 475 BHP 473 Ft Ilbs Torque, Overdrive Automatic Transmission, Power Disc Brakes, Long Tube Headers, Magnaflow Dual Exhausts, Positrack Rear End, Frame Lockers, Aluminium Triple Core Radiator with Electric Fans, Chrome Export Brace, Aluminium Valve Covers, Wood Rim Steering Wheel, Shaker Style Hood, Five Spoke American Racing Style Torq Thrust Wheels and low Profile Tyres.

Built at the San Jose factory in 1965 the little Pony Muscle Car started out as an i6, designed for economy and lower running costs and it survived as such until Larry Norvelle an engineer from Nevada City in Northern California decided to build a true high performance Restomod Mustang. He would change that for ever.

Larry told me he had worked for many years maintaining logging equipment in the forests of Nor Cal and his hobby and passion had always been building high end performance Hot Rods.

Larry and his family live in a beautiful traditional Log Cabin Style home in the forest surrounding Nevada City, a truly beautiful part of California, sadly Larry had been working very long hours keeping the fire fighters equipment operational at the tragic fire that engulfed the town of Paradise.

When we arrived at the house, the Mustang was parked in the garage under the house and looked just like any other 65 Mustang Coupe, except for the 392 badge on the air intake on the Hood.

Larry explained in detail how he had built this incredible machine from a rust free Californian Mustang into the true Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing that it is today.

He had always wanted to utilise the superb 392 Stroker he had built in a Mustang and he produced what is undoubtedly the fastest Mustang we have ever had the privilege to offer for sale.

Larry took me out on a demonstration and on single track tarmac roads lined with pine trees the sensation of speed was incredible, with a force pushing me back into my seat that just kept on pushing this Mustang took on a new persona, unlike any other I had ridden in before and the decision was made, we had to own it!

The next morning we picked up the Mustang and drove this incredible Muscle Car 462 miles to our shippers in Long Beach, the smile has only just left my face, what a car, what a drive, it revs so quickly and keeps on revving, the road goes by so fast, it’s like a drug, the more you drive it the more you want to drive it.

The paint finish is superb and the new Pony Interior in Black is entirely stock, the boot has a fully fitted carpet and it is only when you look under the bonnet that you get an inkling of what this car is capable of.
